Kvenne

 

Norwegian Finns, a small ethnic group living (since the 16th-18th centuries) in parts of northern Norway. The Kvenne speak Norwegian, although some also speak a Kvenne dialect of Finnish and Same (Lapp). The religious Kvenne are Lutherans. The majority of the Kvenne are farmers; the rest engage in fishing and hunting. The Kvenne are being assimilated by the Norwegians.
