Lambaréné
a city in Gabon; the administrative center of the region of Ogooué Moyen. Population, 4,000 (1967). Lambaréné is a port on the Ogooué River. Nearby there is a hospital founded in 1913 by the physician A. Schweitzer, in which he worked until his death in 1965.
