Caption: Figure 3: (a) Diagnostic
laparoscopy. Left internal inguinal ring without palpation of the ipsilateral hemiscrotum.
The
laparoscopy was then performed, and we noted ectopic pregnancy with massive blood and blood clots in the abdominal cavity (about 800 ml) and fetal pole in the cul-de-sac attached to rectal serosa [Figure 1] and [Figure 2].
Another advantage of
laparoscopy is the reduced infection rate because delicate tissues do not get exposed to air during the surgery.
For example, 31 percent of patients had ovarian cancer in the study done by Zivanovic, et al (13) on traditional
laparoscopy, compared to just 3.9 percent of patients in the study done by Rindos, et al (9) on the robotic approach.

laparoscopy the surgeon needs to makes only a small hole in the abdomen." -ahmedshaaban@khaleejtimes.com
Sunita Tandulwadkar, a leading expert in the areas of
laparoscopy, infertility and gynecological endoscopy, has been offering specialized services in the field of women's health.
He said that since long, a variety of training programmes and models in gynaecological
laparoscopy have been developed.
He said
laparoscopy allows the patient to heal and get better quicker, causes less complications such as bleeding, infection and scarring.
There were three conversions to transperitoneal
laparoscopy and three to
laparoscopy in the extraperitoneal group (8.8%).
Laparoscopy facilities are still not available in all veterinary practices but since having the facilities for
laparoscopy available at the Maple Street veterinary hospital we have seen a rapid transition towards its use as a diagnostic tool as well as being used for routine neutering surgery.
The objective of the study was to find out the changing trends in indications for use of
laparoscopy for diagnostic or operative procedures in gynaecology.
Fifty-one patients were managed with
laparoscopy, and the mean stone size was 13.3 mm (±2.06).
