Useful products include
Lassar's paste (a long-standing treatment for psoriasis) and salicylic acid and sulphur shampoo (used for dandruff and itchy scalp conditions).
However, in severe cases or chronic cases such as when an infant has a diarrhea problem, thicker products like old-fashioned
Lassar's Paste or a product called Triple Paste work best.
Newer preparations such as Dovonex, Calcipotriol and Curatoderm tacalcitol are less staining than coal tar products or Dithranol in
Lassar's paste, which was traditionally used.
