Len i Konoplia

Len i Konoplia

 

(Flax and Hemp), a monthly publication written for the industry and the general public. The Ministry of Agriculture has published it since 1924 in Moscow. It has appeared under the following names: Izvestiia Vserossiiskogo tsentral’nogo kooperativnogo soiuza I’novodov i konoplevodov (Proceedings of the All-Russian Central Cooperative Union of Flax Growers and Hemp Growers; nos. 1–6, 1924), Len-pen’ka (Flax-Hemp; nos. 7–12,1924), Len-konoplia (Flax-Hemp; 1928–30), and Len i konoplia: Informatsionnyi biulleten ’ (Flax and Hemp: An Informational Bulletin; 1931–55). Since 1956 it has been known as Len i konoplia. The journal discusses economics, selection and seed production, technology and mechanization, and the primary processing of flax, hemp, and kenaf. The average monthly circulation in 1972 was 11,800 copies.
