Lindemann glass
[′lin·də·mən ‚glas] (materials)
A lithium borate-beryllium oxide glass having no element higher in atomic number than oxygen; used as window material for low-voltage x-ray tubes because it will pass x-rays of extremely long wavelength, such as Grenz rays.
