Location:17 miles east of I-95 on Heckscher Drive (Milepost Exit 358A off I-95).
Facilities:40 full-facility campsites with 2 bathhouses, launch for small boats, nature trail, and playground at the campground; primitive youth/group camping area; beaches with boardwalks, bathhouses, and outdoor showers; picnic areas and pavilions; nature trails.
Activities:Camping, canoeing (rental provider near park), saltwater fishing, swimming, surfing, shelling, hiking, bicycling, wildlife viewing, interpretive programs.
Special Features:More than 5 miles of sandy beaches, undisturbed salt marshes, and vegetated dunes have been preserved on this Atlantic coast barrier island. Wildlife at the park includes river otters, marsh rabbits, bobcats, and a variety of shorebirds.
