Location:On LA 31 in Saint Martinville along the banks of Bayou Teche, 30 minutes southeast of Lafayette.
Facilities:Historic structures, amphitheater, outdoor exhibits, visitor center, crafts shop, restrooms, picnic area, group pavilion.
Activities:Guided tours, living history demonstrations, educational programs.
Special Features:The first park of the Louisiana State Parks system, Longfellow-Evangeline interprets the history of the French-speaking people of the state. The park's centerpiece is Maison Olivier, a Creole plantation home built around 1815. The site also features an Acadian Farmstead depicting the lifestyle of Acadian settlers.
