Lusakert

Lusakert
an urban-type settlement in Nairiiskii Raion, Armenian SSR. Located on the Razdan River (a tributary of the Araks), 6 km from the Charentsavan railroad station (on the Yerevan-Sevan line). It arose in 1949 in connection with the construction of the Giumush Hydroelectric Power Plant and became a settlement in 1953. A tool-making plant was under construction in 1973.

September 20 2010 - The Armenian State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition is to to institute proceedings against Lusakert Poultry Factory for unfair competition, it has been reported.
On August 30, the Commission conducted monitoring and found out that all the companies except for Lusakert Company dealt with the violations.
