In our opinion, simple illusions like
macropsia or micropsia, metamorphopsia, illumination, colour or clarity, dysmorphopsia, plagiopsia, and achromatopsia may be explained by the loss of balance of this longitudinal temporooccipital network.
Zolpidem-induced
macropsia has been reported in women with anorexia.7 The protein-binding capacity of zolpidem is approximately 92%, mainly to albumin (66%) and al-acid glycoprotein (56.6%).4 In malnourished patients with anorexia nervosa, hypoalbuminemia is common and, therefore, unbound drug concentration is higher.
In ERM, this process is usually limited to the formation of membranes above the macula that can contract and wrinkle the retina causing patients to complain of visual impairment such as metamorphopsia, micro- or
macropsia, blurred vision, and occasionally monocular diplopia [7-9].
Residents of old homes with no severe medical/neurological disorder or malignant diseases like cancer, cardiac diseases, renal failure, COPD, diabetes, Asthma, HIV or psychiatric conditions, Epilepsy, Alzheimer's, brain tumor, dementia,
macropsia, head injury etc.
Happiness expands the attuned space; things are felt as aggrandized (which is quite different from
macropsia).
You can also develop
Macropsia, where objects appear bigger than they really are.
