Magoun, Horace Winchell
Magoun, Horace Winchell
(1907–91) neuroscientist; born in Philadelphia. He taught at Northwestern University Medical School (1934–50) and the University of California Medical School at Los Angeles (1950–72). He did important work in neurology and psychopharmacology and was a leader in the creation of a multidisciplinary approach to the study of the nervous system.
