Manado

 

a city and port on the Sulawesi coast, in Indonesia. It is the administrative center of the province of Northern Sulawesi. Population, 169,700 (1971). Manado is the commercial center of an agricultural and fishing region. It has enterprises for the processing of agricultural products.
