Material safety data sheets

(MSDSs)
Informational fact sheets that identify hazardous chemicals and health and physical hazards, including exposure limits and precautions for workers who may come into contact with these chemicals. Green design professionals review product MSDSs when specifying materials and require their submittal during the shop drawing phase.

The Material Safety Data Sheet is prepared by the original manufacturer, and it describes the product's physical state, that is, whether it is powder, granular or liquid.
