Location:Central LaSalle County, 4 miles south of Utica and 3 miles east of Oglesby.
Facilities:Equestrian campground, picnic areas, playground, restrooms, marked hiking trails (5 miles), horseback riding trails (9 miles), cross-country ski trails (6 miles), horse rentals, ski rental (Dec-Mar), historic site, field archery range, radio-controlled model airplane field.
Activities:Hiking (on marked trails only; unmarked areas are dangerous), horseback riding, camping (equestrian only), wildlife viewing, hunting, cross-country skiing.
Special Features:Bluffs composed of 425-million-year-old sandstone, canyons formed by water erosion, and Cascade Falls are among the park's striking natural features. An added attraction is a restored fort and stockade buildings representative of the type of forts built by the French in the midwest during the 1600s and early 1700s.

The other park included in the program is Matthiessen State Park, also in Ogelsby, which sees about 500,000 visitors annually.
