Consul General Silberstein laid a floral wreath at the
mausoleum and signed the guest book on behalf of the people of the United States.
Silberstein noted, "It is an honor for me to be here at this beautiful
mausoleum to pay my respects to the Quaid-i-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

According to Kalat Division Commissioner Hafiz Muhammad Tahir, strict security arrangements have been made for the event with walk-through gates being installed at the entry and exit points of the
mausoleum and police, the Balochistan Levies and private security guards being deputed around the site.
During visit to the
mausoleum, the District Nazim also laid a floral wreath on the grave of the great Pashto Sufi poet.

One such cleaning of the Quaid's
mausoleum was carried out by the Karachi Fire Brigade more than two decades ago on the order of the then Mayor of Karachi, Dr Farooq Sattar.
