McCroskey State Park

Location:Northern Idaho, 26 miles north of Moscow.
Facilities:9 campsites (primitive and standard), group picnic shelter, multi-use trails.
Activities:Camping, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding.
Special Features:The highlight of this ridgeline park is an 18-mile skyline drive on unimproved roads that provides spectacular views of the Palouse prairie as well as access to 32 miles of trails. (The road is not recommended for RVs and may also be too rough for some cars.) The park is named for Mary Minerva McCroskey and is dedicated to the memory of frontier women and the hardships they endured.
