(5) There are four main types of measles-induced encephalitis: primary
measles encephalitis, acute post-measles encephalitis, measles inclusion body encephalitis, and subacute sclerosing panencephalitis [Table 2].
Richard Robinson was just six years old when he almost died after developing a life-threatening condition called

measles encephalitis since measles was rare in the 1990s following the introduction of the combined measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine in 1988 (27).
Sally, from Somerset, developed a rare and life-threatening condition called
measles encephalitis.
The first was attributed to
measles encephalitis in a child aged 13 years who had chronic granulomatous disease, received a bone marrow transplant in October 2002, and died in January 2003.
