Location:6 miles northeast of Hyattville, off Highway 31, along the western slope of the Big Horn Mountains.
Facilities:25 tent and trailer campsites, restrooms (é), picnic area, nature trail, visitor center, fishing pier, historic features, playground.
Activities:Camping, fishing (é), hunting (with restrictions), wildlife observation, hiking, mountain biking, rock hunting.
Special Features:An important archeological site, Medicine Lodge features prehistoric petroglyphs and pictographs on red sandstone cliffs. Archeologists have uncovered a human habitation site that had been occupied for more than 10,000 years. Because the archeological site is located in a Wyoming Game and Fish Wildlife Habitat Management Unit, visitors are often afforded a close look at deer and elk, along with other wildlife.
