Merocrine Secretion

Merocrine Secretion

 

a secretion that occurs without the destruction of the glandular cells. It is discharged from the cell in dissolved form through the apical membrane into the lumen of the acinus (the majority of exocrine glands in man and other vertebrates) or through the base of the cell into the blood and lymphatic vessels.
