Microsoft font embedding

Storing fonts on a Web server so that they can be retrieved and rendered by Internet Explorer. This allows the Web designer to publish pages using fonts no matter whether the user has them installed in the computer or not. The Windows Embedded Fonts Tool (WEFT) is used to convert fonts that can be legally embedded into Embedded Open Type (EOT) fonts and upload them to the Web server, and website pages are coded to refer to the EOT fonts. For more information, visit www.microsoft.com/typography/web/embedding. See font embedding.
