Al-Issa told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the plan includes opening of emergency rooms in the company's main building and the ports of Mina Abdulla and Mina Al-Ahmadi, and also monitoring work of the refineries and ensure that the refining and production processes are not affected by weather fluctuations and possible heavy rain.

Under the project, the capacity of the Mina al-Ahmadi refinery would drop to 347,000 barrels per day (bpd) from 466,000 bpd, while Mina Abdulla refinery's capacity would rise to 454,000 bpd from 270,000 bpd.
TOKYO, Aug 17, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) today announced its receipt of an order from JGC CORPORATION for the delivery of telecommunications and security systems for the Kuwait National Petroleum Company's large-scale Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, the construction of which JGC CORPORATION is involved in.
Project would also encompass capability and capacity upgrades as well as modernisation at the Mina al-Ahmadi
The project will involve upgrading Kuwait's Mina Abdullah and Mina Al-Ahmadi refineries to increase capacity.
The Kuwait CFP project to come up in the Mina Abdullah province, about 30 miles southeast of Kuwait City, is worth $12 billion and includes the Mina Abdullah I&II and Mina al-Ahmadi refineries.
