Activities:Boating, canoeing, fishing, hunting, birdwatching.
Special Features:Area includes 15 wildlife management areas and 13 public access sites, scattered along 75 miles of two major rivers, the Mississippi and the Illinois. Most of the area is actively managed for wetland habitat enhancement and public recreation. The primary species of concern is waterfowl.
