Moore, Robert Lee

Moore, Robert Lee

(1882–1974) mathematician; born in Dallas, Texas. He was associate editor of the American Mathematical Society's Transactions (1914–27). A noted professor, he taught longest at the University of Texas (1923–1968) and was credited for using axiomatics as a tool in set-theoretic topology, what he called point-set topology.
