Morphography

description of the external features of the earth’s surface (nature of dissection; arrangement, orientation, and outlines of individual positive and negative relief forms) without consideration of the genesis and age of the relief. Morphographic analysis (which includes drawing maps of morphological types of relief, orohydrographic maps, and the like) is the initial and a very important step in geomorphological study of land.
