Moss Landing State Beach
Location:On Jetty Road in Moss Landing, 16 miles north of Monterey via Highway 1.

Activities:Fishing, surfing, windsurfing, picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, birding.
Special Features:Surfing and surf fishing are popular here, but water recreation is
dangerous because of strong rip currents. Picnicking on the beach is
also popular, because the dunes protect it from afternoon winds. The
area is also an important migratory stop along the Pacific Flyway.
