Munday, Richard

(c. 1685–1739) builder/architect. His biographical details are sketchy. He helped transform Newport, R.I., into an elegant, modern town in the 1720s and 1730s with buildings influenced by Christopher Wren—Trinity Church (1725–26) and Old Colony House (1739).
