Nexus Q

Nexus Q

An earlier digital media hub from Google that streamed music and videos from computers and mobile devices to stereos and home theaters. The round, two-pound unit's 25 watt amplifier could also power speakers directly. Touted as a "social streaming device," friends nearby with Android devices could mix their music into the playlists. Introduced in 2012, it was discontinued later that year. See Nexus Player, Chromecast and digital media hub.
