He lost the former to Stirlingshire's finalist Stewart Crawford, a former international player, and, with partner John Hannah (Ed/Dundee), the latter to winners Chris Main (
North Ayrshire) and Gerry Campbell (Stirlingshire).
The scheme in
North Ayrshire is believed to be the first time a local authority will use them to help tackle litter.
