Notter, George M.

(1933–2007)
A pioneering preservationist, his many projects included Old Boston City Hall, Boston, MA and Mechanics Hall in Worcester, MA. In Washington, he worked on the renovation and expansion study for the Russell Senate Office Building and the master plan for the International Cultural and Trade Center. An early advocate of sustainability, Notter chaired the Designing for Energy conference in Dallas, TX helping place the organization at the forefront of the energy conservation movement.
