Obigarm

 

a balneological resort in Tadzhik SSR. Obigarm is located 100 km northeast of Dushanbe at elevations of 1,228–1,365 m. Summer is very warm, with an average July temperature of 24°C, and winter is mild, with an average January temperature of –6°C. Annual precipitation totals 820 mm. Treatment at Obigarm makes use of mineral springs and thermal, siliceous, sulfate-chloride, sodium-calcium waters for baths. Peat mud is also used. Treatment is provided for patients with diseases of the musculoskeletal system, gynecological disorders, and diseases of the nervous system. Obigarm has a sanatorium and facilities for baths.
