Onon-Bal’dzha Range

 

a mountain range in Chita Oblast of the RSFSR. It is 150 km long and extends from east to northeast between the headwaters of the Bal’dzha and Onon rivers. The range is dissected by the narrow transverse valleys of Onon tributaries. The highest peak is 1,741 m. The range is composed of Paleozoic granite and sedimentary rock and is covered with a mountain larch taiga alternating with steppes on the slopes with a southern exposure.
