Orion association
(I Orionis) A large OB-association (see association) that contains over 1000 stars and lies in the region of the Orion nebula. There are at least three clusters in the association: the Lambda (λ) Orionis cluster, the Belt group around Epsilon (Ɛ) Orionis, and the Trapezium cluster.Collins Dictionary of Astronomy © Market House Books Ltd, 2006
