P2 card

P2 card

(Professional Plug-In card) A flash memory storage card for camcorders introduced by Panasonic in 2004. Housed in a Type II PC Card module, P2 cards are used to store DV, DVCPRO, AVC-Intra and AVC-Ultra video on Panasonic tapeless camcorders. See DV, DVCPRO and AVC-Intra.

Content is transferred from a P2 card to the solid-state drive at four times real time when recording in AVC-lntra 100 or DVCPRO HD.
Rounding out the camera complement will be the new Panasonic HPX 250 which records to P2 cards and shoots in true 4:2:2 color space.
It can transfer data from up to five P2 cards simultaneously, making content immediately available to nonlinear editing systems and servers.
