Paul B. Johnson State Park
Location:15 miles south of Hattiesburg on Highway 49.
Facilities:108 developed campsites (85 with water and electric hookups), 25 tent
campsites, bathhouses with restrooms and hot showers, 16 vacation cabins, group
camp, picnic area, 6 pavilions, self-guided nature trail with 2 lookout
towers, swimming beach, boat ramp, dock, disc golf course, playing
fields, playground, visitor center with game room, meeting room, and
exhibits.
Activities:Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, water-skiing.
Special Features:Park is located in the heart of the state's pine belt region, featuring
longleaf and loblolly pines as well as dogwoods and ancient oaks. The
University of Southern Mississippi is a short drive from the park.
