Pelotas

 

a city in southern Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Population, 208,000 (1970). The city has a railroad station and is a highway junction. Founded in the late 18th century, Pelotas is a commercial and industrial center of an agricultural region. It has meat-packing, milk-canning, flour milling, brewing, leather-footwear, and other industries.

Currently, the Laboratory of Propagation of Fruit Plants of the Federal University of Pelotas, from the continuity to the study developed by Casarin (2015), is maintaining the olive clonal garden of Arbequina cultivar and carrying out evaluations regarding the productivity of ministumps during successive collections, in semihydroponic and conventional cultivation systems and the rooting of these minicuttings, collected at different seasons of the year.

No que se refere a naturalidade e procedencia da amostra estudada foi evidenciado que 78,5% (n=51) era natural de Pelotas e 21,5% (n=14) de outras cidades do Rio Grande do Sul, sendo observado o predominio de 89,2% (n=58) de individuos de procedencia urbana, tendo observado procedencia rural em apenas 10,8% (n=7) da amostra.
The study was approved by the Ethics Committee on Animal Research (CEEA) (20) of the Federal University of Pelotas with number 23110.004842/2016-64.
A obra "Era domingo e o almoco havia sido servido", realizado em 2013 (Figura 1), exposta no Espaco de Arte Agape na cidade de Pelotas e constituido por alguns objetos, um prato ornado com uma estampa de uma paisagem preso a parede, e demais objetos domesticos--xicaras, bules e pratos quebrados e agrupados no chao, logo abaixo do objeto pendurado.
Campeoes estaduais em 1919 e 1930, respectivamente, Brasil e Pelotas passaram a conviver com altos e baixos apos a decada de 1980, com problemas para se manterem na primeira divisao estadual e vendo clubes de regioes mais prosperas como a metropolitana e a serra gaucha obterem maior destaque desportivo, sobretudo os clubes de Caxias do Sul, cidade que ocupou o posto de segunda economia do estado do Rio Grande do Sul.
