The wall of uterine horns is represented by three membranes: the mucous membrane (endometrium), muscle (myometrium) and serous (
perimetrium).
In group A, the transverse section of the uterine horn showed a stellate shaped lumen encircled by endometrium, myometrium and
perimetrium. The endometrium was lined by simple columnar epithelium.
The uterine wall of control group showed three layers (endometrium, myometrium and
perimetrium).
During operation, the
perimetrium was seen with inflammatory changes in the field of external pole of the tumor, and it was covered with a thin fibrin film, and it was soldered with lower pole of the greater omentum.
