More details at www.cardiffhalfmarathon.co.uk I have run the Cardiff half several times (once barefoot) and it is a lovely course, I highly recommend it (with trainers) and of course, the good news is, unlike Phidippides, you won't have to run it in reverse or fight a battle after it!

Those worried about the case of the Greek soldier Phidippides, who died after running from Marathon to Athens, came to understand that marathon running wouldn't kill them.
Gone were the days of Phidippides' 26-mile run and subsequent death heralding the victory of Marathon.
