Lead phases (synthetic) are anglesite [PbSO.sub.4], crocoite [PbCrO.sub.4], hydrocerussite [Pb.sub.3][([CO.sub.3]).sub.2][(OH).sub.2]), phoenicochroite [Pb.sub.2][CrO.sub.5], and plattnerite [PbO.sub.2].
By X-ray diffraction analysis, the sample contained synthetic phoenicochroite ([Pb.sub.2][CrO.sub.4]O), synthetic quartz ([SiO.sub.2]), synthetic calcite ([CaCO.sub.3]), synthetic barite ([BaSO.sub.4]), synthetic anatase and rutile ([TiO.sub.2]).
Lead phases detected in lead paint include synthetic hydrocerussite, crocoite, anglesite, phoenicochroite and possible plattnerite.
