Pilcher, Joshua
Pilcher, Joshua
(1790–1843) trader, Indian agent; born in Culpeper County, Va. He was president of the Missouri Fur Company (1820–31) and he trapped and traded (1827–30, 1831–37). He was the U.S. superintendent for Indian affairs (1839–41).
