Name one thingyou can learn about
Plateosaurus by looking at the information on the chart.
Our canton is not graced with a Matterhorn, but the Jura has fantastic fossils and a complete skeleton of a
Plateosaurus in the Dinosaur Museum in Frick.
Spanning 160 million years of prehistoric action, show features the
Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurns, Allosaurus and Brachiosaurus from the Jurassic and the spectacular Cretaceous creatures.
Iguanodon And Other Spiky-thumbed Plant-eaters (0761420-053) places Iguanodon in a class with others and comments on its predatory methods; Ornithomimus And Other Speedy 'Ostrich Dinosaurs' (0761420061) discusses dinos built for running; Therizinosaurus And Other Colossal-Clawed Plant-Eaters (076142007X) gives a dramatic focus on giant dino claws--something barely mentioned in other titles;
Plateosaurus And Other Early Long-Necked Plant-Eaters (0761420088) focuses on dino long necks and their ability to eat tall plants; and Geratosaurus And Other Horned Meat-Eaters (0761420096) will delight kids who enjoy fierce dinos.
THE
Plateosaurus was the largest creature ever to walk up-right on land.
We begin in the Triassic period, and watch the first dinosaur of the night, the herbivore
Plateosaurus, take on and defeat the carnivorous Liliensternus in a battle over the
Plateosaurus babies.
The show includes a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the
Plateosaurus and Lilienstemus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous period.
Ten species of dinosaur are represented from the entire 200 million year reign of the dinosaur, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex, the terror of the ancient terrain, as well as the
Plateosaurus and Liliensternus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous period.
The exhibition features some spectacular models, including a six metre long
Plateosaurus skeleton, a T.rex skull, a huge Triceratops skull, real fossils that are over 100 million years old, and a seven metre long replica of the UK's largest carnivorous dinosaur - Megalosaurus.
From the Triassic period, there is the terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex, the
Plateosaurus and the Liliensternus.
But the buzz is reserved for the big boys,
Plateosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, described as the "lion of the Jurassic", and Torosaurus.
Along the way we also meet the likes of the
Plateosaurus and Lilienstemus from the Triassic period, the Stegosaurus and Allosaurus from the Jurassic period and Torosaurus and Utahraptor from the awesome Cretaceous period.
