Porsgrunn

 

a city and port on Langesund Fjord in Tele-mark County in southern Norway. Population, 31,700 (1971). Porsgrunn is known for its manufacturing of china. It has saw mills and wood products enterprises. Industries also include electrometallurgy and electrochemistry.
