Location:16 miles west of Lamar in Barton County, off Highway 160, north on Highway NN to Central Road for 3 miles, then north on 150th Lane.
Facilities:2 basic campsites, picnic sites, hiking and backpacking trails, visitor center, exhibits.
Activities:Camping, hiking, backpacking, wildlife observation, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park preserves Missouri's largest remaining tallgrass prairie, with grasses that grow as high as eight feet in the fall. The grass is strewn with ever-changing wildflowers and provides a home for bison and elk.
