QNE

In Q, or basic telecommunication code, it means, “What reading will my altimeter give on landing at [place] at … hours with my subscale [Kollsman window] set at 1013.2 hectopascals/29.92 in of mercury?” It may substitute QFE at high-level airfields where the subscale doesn't have sufficient range to set QNE. All aircraft set their altimeters to QNE above the transition altitude.
