RAID array

RAID array

A group of hard drives or solid state drives (SSDs) that are configured for increased speed and/or fault tolerance. See RAID.

Tabib notes that each of DoubleClick's C*CURE 800 hot redundant servers contains three hard drives in a RAID Array configuration and a triple power supply to maintain operation through almost any emergency situation.
The RAID controller then adds the newly formatted drive to the existing RAID array of drives.
