Ra’s al Unūf
a city and port that exports petroleum in Libya, on the Gulf of Sidra of the Mediterranean Sea. In 1973 the freight turnover totaled 16.6 million tons. Petroleum is piped from deposits in other cities, including Jalo, Beda, Hofra, and Amai.
