Radnorshire

 

a county in Great Britain, in Wales. Area, 1,200 sq km. Population, 18,300 (1971). The capital is Llandrin-dod Wells. The chief agricultural activities are the raising of sheep and beef and dairy cattle.

Brecon and Radnorshire Lib Dem MP Roger Williams said: "He will be sorely missed in Westminster and in his beloved home town of Llanidloes." Welsh Liberal Democrat peer Alex Carlile said: "He was a much loved human being - charming, approachable, and always willing to listen to others.
They don't consider themselves either Welsh or English: 'We are from Radnorshire,' they say, using the old county name.
