Raster Screen

 

a screen for directed reflection of light; it is used in normal motion-picture projection, projection of slides and motion pictures in daylight, and stereoscopic projection. In raster screens intended for the production of two-dimensional images, the reflecting surface itself has a raster structure. To produce stereoscopic images, the raster is located at a certain distance from the reflecting surface; this permits the perception of two different images by the left and right eyes. The most advanced screens for stereoscopic systems have radial lenticular rasters with maximum sensitivity.
