Rebel State Historic Site
Location:3 miles northwest of Marthaville on LA 1221.

Special Features:Rebel is the home of the Louisiana Country Music Museum, with exhibits
that interpret the development of the various folk music traditions in
the region, from early gospel and string band music to today's country
music sounds. The museum contains costumes, instruments, and pictures
that have been donated by prominent country music and gospel
performers, including Roy Acuff's fiddle and yo-yo as well as one of
Hank Williams Jr's shirts. The building's architectural design depicts
a stringed musical instrument.
