In my first version of this incubator, I used a traditional resistance wire coil as a heater, but I discovered that the lowtech wire coil had a number of disadvantages in addition to being power-hungry.
An inauguration ceremony was held at the centre to finalise the project which has seen the moving of Kanthal Resistance, Thermocouple and Copper Nickel products to DC Venlo thereby launching the additions of resistance wire and thermocouple materials to the facility's service offering.
But inventor Alan MacMasters realised new high resistance wire could be heated to a high enough temperature to toast bread, and came up with a design for the first electric toaster.
In addition, the resistance wire was wound on wooden bobbins.
The elements contain long-life nickel chrome resistance wire:
If we choose to create different diameter tools, usage of longer resistance wire is required, which means higher resistance, and to overcome that obstacle, proper charger with variable input must be used.
Stella in candescente (Incandescent Star), 1972, is made out of an electrical resistance wire rendered incandescent and rarely exhibited because it is so dangerous, as is Confine incandescente (Incandescent Boundary), 1970, one of Zorio's most famous works.
Explain that lower resistance wire, while more expensive initially, will save money by reducing power loss or blown fuses and will increase safety.
As explained by company president Tad McGwire, most electric heaters have a helically wound resistance wire inside, which emits heat in all directions.
