Rho Ophiuchi Cloud

(roh of-ee-yoo -kÿ, -kee, oh-fee-) A complex region of molecular and dark clouds and emission and reflection nebulae near the star ρ Oph in the constellation Ophiuchus. X-ray and infrared observations show that star formation is occurring in the dark cloud.
